A Wee Review of the Book Review Evening – 10th Sept, 2014

What a delightful and informative evening was had by all attending Alison Craig’s writing a book review workshop. Alison’s calm, step-by-step advice had us all enthralled from the word go. Well prepared and flawlessly delivered, with easy understood power point presentation, Alison’s workshop guided us on journey through the pros and cons of review writing. The workshop was bursting at the seams with invaluable hints and tips to help the experienced or first time reviewer take on the daunting task of committing to paper an unbiased and balanced review of another author’s work.
So come on folks put Alison’s teaching into practice. Choose a book to review, fact or fiction the choice is yours, and enter our club’s book review competition, 350-500 words review on any book published since 1997. Good luck to all.
May I add my own personal thanks to Alison for a very enjoyable workshop, as a club we are lucky to have such a talented writer in our ranks.
