Online, Free, Literary Festival – Big Book Weekend – 8-10 May 2020

The spirit of Coronavirus-hit literary festivals is to be resurrected, kept alive, with this month’s announcement of The Big Book Weekend (taking place on Friday 8th May, through to Sunday 10th May).

This 3-day, virtual, online book festival brings together the best of the cancelled British literary festivals (including Aye Write and Boswell Book Festival), and features the authors and artists that would have appeared.

The festival will consist of video interviews, panels, in conversation debates, performances, and interactive sessions – broadcast as-live. There will then be live chat sessions with authors and artists, after each session.

There’ll be stuff for kids, adults, festival die-hards, and people who’ve never considered chatting about books in a tent. The Big Book Weekend reflects many communities across the UK, and the widest choice of reading tastes.

To watch for free, you need to register at MyVLF (link below), where the Big Book Weekend festival will be broadcast. Once a day’s programming has finished, that day’s videos will then remain on MyVLF for you to catch up on.

The complete 3-day programme can be found HERE
